Della Delfinia Dolling, 90, of Knights Ferry died Wednesday, March 20.
She was born in Las Vegas, N.M. to Ofrendo and Marina Adela Gallegos. She lived in Knights Ferry for more than 60 years.
Mrs. Dolling worked as a waitress in addition to being a homemaker. In her younger days during the war, she also worked on the train as a Harvey Girl.
She was a member of the Catholic Church. She was also a great animal lover.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Fred (Lisa) Dolling of Knights Ferry; sisters, Helen Moore, Tilla Gallegos, Deloris (Bob) Wilson, all of Modesto, Rosalee (Joe) Rael of Pueblo, Colo., Ophelia Davis of Lawton, Okla.; brother, Andrew Gallegos of Dillia, N.M.; half brother-in-law, Bill Barter of Modesto; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Dolling; son, Paul Dolling; her parents; and brother, Meryhildo Gallegos.
