Survived by wife Lina Magdaleno; daughters, Gloria Magdaleno, Elva Buchanan and Richard Buchanan; sons, Fernando Magdaleno and Debbie (Johnson) Magdaleno, Robert Magdaleno, Jr. and Martha (Lewis) Magdaleno, Juan Magdaleno and Jennifer Rosa Wade. Grandchildren: 18; Great-grandchildren: 17; Siblings Teresa Muniz, Guillermo Magdaleno, Esperanza Rodriguez.
Roberto was born in Guadalajara, Mexico and immigrated to the United States in 1956. He lived in Southern California when he met his wife of 60 years in Santa Barbara, they moved to the L.A. area and decided to move to Oakdale in 1965 when he later became a U.S. citizen.
Retired from Hershey’s where he worked for almost 28 years. Was ordained as Deacon in October of 1986 at the Cathedral in Stockton and was Deacon at St. Mary’s in Oakdale. Very loving husband and father, passed away peacefully at home from natural causes surrounded by his family.
