Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away peacefully in the presence of family on January 26, 2023. She was born in Los Angeles, CA to Morton Robert Oleson (Bob) and Clarice Ireta Wallick Oleson (Buddie). She attended Dorsey High School in Los Angeles and moved with her parents to Sacramento, CA upon her high school graduation. A fond memory was when she won a 1964 ½ convertible Ford Mustang during her Disneyland Graduation Night.

She attended Sacramento City College and graduated with an associate of arts degree in Business. She met the love of her life and husband of 56 years, James (Jim) William Fulton, in Sacramento and they married on July 23, 1966. Christine and Jim moved to Southern California when Jim became a traffic officer with the California Highway Patrol.

Christine was an administrative secretary for the California Highway Patrol, Hogan Manufacturing, Stanislaus County and retired from the City of Modesto in 1997. She often left Christmas gift lists out on the counter written in shorthand much to her daughters’ disappointment. Christine was most proud of their two daughters, Kellie (Tony) Felix and Kasey (David) Houck. She always said they were her greatest accomplishments. Chris loved being a grandmother to their five grandchildren: Kassidy Houck (22); Kendal Houck (20); Alex Felix (15); Karlie Felix (13) and Kaden Felix (13). She enjoyed attending their school and sporting events. She also loved taking them to the movies, out to eat for lunch or breakfast and weekend camping trips.

Christine and Jim enjoyed many years of their retirement traveling the United States in their motorhome, which they considered their “home away from home” usually three months at a time but would always come back for at least a month or two. They visited 39 of the States and took cruises to Alaska, Hawaii and Mexico.

Those closest to Mom knew how much she enjoyed shopping and finding the best deals (to save Jim money!). She loved shopping to find the perfect gifts for her family and friends.

For those who may wish to make a memorial contribution, the family encourages a donation be made to The Community Hospice Foundation website: www.hospiceheart.org.

The Fulton Family would like to invite friends and family to join us in sharing your memories of her at the Celebration of Life Reception to be held on February 18, 2023 at The Felix Barn located at 14723 Victory Road, Oakdale, CA from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
