Charles entered into Heaven on August 27, 2021. Born in Checotah, Oklahoma in 1934, he made his way to Oakdale where he met the love of his life, Aubra Rhynes and had three daughters. Charles served 12 years in the National Guard and after he was honorably discharged, he continued work in Oakdale as a mechanic.
Aubra preceded him in death in 1991 and he later married Marilyn Bachman. Charles loved nothing more than hunting and fishing as well as spending time with family sharing his stories. He was preceded in death by his oldest daughter Charlene McHugh and second wife, Marilyn.
Charles is survived by his daughters Kathy Burch and Susie Cogburn, seven grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 1 p.m. Reception to follow.
