Carol Owen Victor, born July 15, 1934, in Butte, Montana passed away peacefully on June 6, 2023 at the age of 88 in Mesa, Arizona.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Shelley Thorkelson, son, Jason Victor (Jenny), grandchildren, Lacyn Barton (Dan), Alex Thorkelson, Ryan Victor, Ross Victor and great grandchildren, Lillian Barton, Charlotte Barton, Sophia Barton and Gunner Sikes.

Carol was a resident of the Oakdale area from 1980 to 1996 when she moved out of state following her husband, Jay Victor’s passing in 1995. Carol was the owner of Everything Nice Custom Embroidery located originally in Valley Home and then at 134 Third Street, Oakdale where she served an incredibly long list of clients and friends.

Carol was an eternal optimist with incredible patience in the face of adversity as embodied in her living a full life after being heavily affected by polio in her 20’s. She had a deep faith and was a devout Catholic. Carol enjoyed watching sports, listening to music (she was a Bon Jovi superfan), was devoted every day to studying her newspaper, loved soup and cherished her time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and with her sister Gloria Pearce and Gloria’s extended family. Her love for her family was immeasurable and her smile and laugh were infectious.

A graveside service will be held for Carol where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Jay on Friday, July 14, at 11 a.m. at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson, CA. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Carol’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Carol will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace.
