Angelina Angie T. Goeken-Taylor
OBIT-TAYLOR

Angelina “Angie” T. Goeken-Taylor, 70, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17 at Oak Valley Hospital in Oakdale. She was born to Elias and Mary Dias on July 26, 1943 in Modesto, CA.

She was married on May 16, 1964 to James J. Goeken, together they had four sons.

Angie was a resident of Escalon for eight years and previously of Oakdale. After she was married she went to work for Patterson Frozen Foods as a bookkeeper. At the birth of her first child she was honored to quit her day job to be a stay at home mom. While her children were growing up the family resided in Hughson in their family home built in 1974 by her husband and father-in-law. She was always involved with her sons’ activities, such as the 4-H and volunteering at their school; Sacred Heart Catholic School - Turlock. When her sons were older she started working for Tupperware in sales as she quickly climbed the ladder and became a manager of “Angie’s Angels” with the company. In the mid ‘80s she decided to change careers working for various companies selling office supplies as well as owning her own jewelry business. She finally retired in 2009 to enjoy life to the fullest.

After retirement she and her second husband Bob enjoyed classic cars, joining many car clubs in the area. She was a devout Catholic as she was a faithful member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, where she was involved in several Bible study groups. She was extremely dedicated to her faith and had a love of the blessed Virgin Mother Mary. Amongst everything in Angie’s life her true love was her grandchildren. She felt every moment spent with them was truly a gift from God; she loved them unconditionally. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to many.

Survivors include her sons, Richard Goeken, Charles Goeken and his wife Jennifer, Kenneth Goeken and his wife Carolyn, Michael Goeken and his wife Cindy; 11 grandchildren, Andrew, Eric, Marissa, Evan, Adam, Anthony, James, Joseph, Angelina, Nathaniel and Caitlin; five siblings, Irma Isom, Edward Dias, Aldeana Polunsky, Andrew Dias, and Dorothy Pires.
