Andrew Edward Hanks, born June 21, 1986 in Los Gatos, CA, passed away December 14, 2022 in Stockton, CA. Andrew was 36.

Andrew lived in Oakdale, CA most of his life. He is survived by his wife of five years, Rachel Hanks, and their children, Anson Hanks (4), and Ace Hanks (1).

He is also survived by his mother, Mindy Deshais, and his step-dad, George Deshais of Valley Springs, CA. His father Edward Hanks of Modesto, CA, his sister Jill Hanks, and his grandmother Judy Darnell of San Jose, CA and well as many other extended family members and friends.

Andrew was the love of Rachel’s life, her best friend, and a hero to Ace and Anson. He loved hunting and fishing, anything that involved being in the mountains. He was able to pass that love on to his boys and share that passion with them. His best days were spent camping, teaching the boys to fish, taking Anson on his first duck hunt. As soon as he came home from work, he would set his things down so he could play, wrestle, drive tractors, or read books to his boys. He was first and foremost a proud and loving dad. His world revolved around creating the best life for his wife and children. He was a loving husband, son, grandson, nephew, brother, and friend. The void he left in this world will never be filled but the memories, stories, and pictures will help keep his memory alive. He was a quiet man but those who knew him best knew him as a joker, a bit of a prankster, a shoulder to lean on in need, and the one who will show up in any way he could for those he loved.
