Aaron Boyd Knudson, age 66, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 23, 2021, at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto California. He was born May 2, 1955, in Oakland, California to Shirley Christine and Alfred “Knut” Knudson.
He worked many years for Masonite in Modesto, California and then transferred to their plant in Ukiah, California, until they closed the facility. While living in Ukiah he was active in softball, winning many MVP and other trophies. He was often found camping and fishing at Lake Mendocino with his mother, children, or sister. He also loved salmon fishing on the Russian River. In addition, he enjoyed golfing at the local course and played there often, participating on his company team.
After leaving Ukiah, he worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator in the Modesto area, continuing to play softball on his family’s team until a back disability forced him into early retirement. During retirement you would often find him out on his boat on Woodward Reservoir, catching and releasing the big ones he caught. Another favorite activity was joining his sister as they walked her dogs and enjoyed the beauty that is nature.
He is survived by his son Lee Knudson and daughter Megan Knudson, sister Penny Ellis and brother Theodore Marn as well as other nephews, nieces, and cousins. Aaron did not wish a service to remember him and would ask that those who knew him just keep him in their prayers and remember the good times you had together.
