Wind, Cold Prompt Pair Of Weather Advisories
NWS

Portions of the Northern San Joaquin Valley and the far eastern Delta have a couple of weather advisories in effect for April 3 and 4.

A wind advisory remains in effect until 8 p.m. Monday, April 3 with a frost advisory in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 4.

Issued by the National Weather Service in Sacramento, forecasters are calling for northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph expected for the wind advisory on Monday. For Tuesday’s frost advisory, temperatures as low as 32 to 36 will result in frost formation.

Gusty winds on Monday afternoon and early evening could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

Tuesday morning’s frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered. Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
