How wonderful to see the rain! We are so grateful.

With the weather here so nice, our thoughts turn to a hard working railroad man, our good family friend Aaron in cold, cold, Minnesota! With temperatures dipping to 20 degrees below in Minnesota, we can really appreciate our warm pineapple express weather here in Valley Home. We are hoping spring will come early to the northeast as daughter Beci prepares for another trip to Minneapolis.

We were thrilled to see World Champion Rodeo Bull “Bushwacker” doing a photo shoot. Rodeo legend Julio Moreno must be extremely proud of this tremendous bucking bull!

Speaking of rodeo we were excited to hear our good friend and former neighbor Walt Woodard’s voice on RFD TV last Wednesday night. Walt was speaking with the host of “The Road To The American” while driving from one rodeo to the next in Texas. Our grandchildren Cody, Cooper, Millie and Jenna are proud owners of well-worn and autographed Walt Woodard cowboy hats. Walt is a two-time World Champion team roper and has many friends in this area.

Many of us call him Mr. Valley Home due to his love and dedication to our community, that is Tony Taro we are speaking of. We are happy to report that Tony is feeling better and is enjoying life on the ranch after a brief illness. Glad you are feeling better Tony!

Special birthday wishes go out to Laci Blount and Nathan Soares. Both of these two fine young people are students at Oakdale High. Laci is very involved in many activities including Community Service and is a member of Oakdale FFA and Valley Home 4-H. Nathan is a sportsman and loves to hunt. We wish you both a very happy birthday!

Several Valley Home School sixth graders helped good friend Garrett Lee celebrate his birthday this past Saturday. The friends enjoyed a movie together and then shared pizza and tons of fun. Happy birthday Garrett from all your Valley Home friends!

Valley Home 4-H held their annual box social last Tuesday evening. It was such fun, with laughter and happy voices filling the room as folks bid on brightly wrapped packages. Auctioneers Garret Bryhni and Luke Pouncey kept the crowd excited and the room filled with energy as they called out the bids. Everyone enjoyed the evening and the 4-Hers would like to thank everyone who participated.
