It was exciting to see the rain come this past week…wishing for more!

Last week we shared how important Valley Home resident Kevin Koppinger is to our community. This week we will finish our tribute to this great young man. A 21-year old college student, Kevin, has participated in or been involved in almost every community, school, and 4-H event held in Valley Home in recent years. Kevin is always the first to volunteer and always the first to step up and make things happen! He is the son of Debra and Jay Koppinger of Valley Home. Kevin has set many goals for himself, one of them being to build his own home in Alaska where he can watch the Northern lights. Wow Kevin, what a wonderful dream! Valley Home is so proud of you and we all wish you every success!

We wish a very happy birthday to Valley Home 4-Her Brendan Finn. Brendan is an avid hunter and an excellent marksman. He loves the outdoors and can usually be found at his home in Knights Ferry caring for his animals. Brendan’s proud parents are Sean and Margarete Finn.

It is basketball season at Valley Home School! This Friday’s game will be against Paradise School. We appreciate our basketball coaches Mrs. Arnebeck, Bonnie Gellerman, and Tom Cassinetto very much!

Mark your calendars for the Parent-Teacher Club meeting this Thursday, Feb. 6 after school and the school board meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 11 in the school library. Everyone is welcome. Come share your thoughts, concerns and your compliments.

Valley Home 4-H is excited to celebrate the birthday of Bryce McKenzie. Bryce is in fourth grade and can usually be seen at school games as the Valley Home Hawk. He has tons of school spirit and is a great student! His proud parents are Michelle and Pat McKenzie.

Until next time…Happy trails to all!
