Valley Home 4-H members can take a well-deserved big bow! We received word this week that the club sponsored Valentine Box Social was a great success. Word has been received that there were lots of baked goodies and other various items on hand at the club’s annual fun filled event! Club members’ delicious boxed desserts raised a little over $1,000 for the Club’s treasury. The announcer was Ashley Barreto and Hallie Smith showed off her great talent as auctioneer. A Big Thanks to everyone who helped with the annual event, especially to all the members for their donations and purchasing the boxes.
PTC president, Shari Rathbun reminds us that members are all busy getting ready for the Club’s annual “Let it Roll” fundraiser scheduled for Friday evening, March 2nd. Remember if you have an item that you would like to donate for the event, you may contact Chairman Lisa Jones at 840-3178, to arrange for pickup or for tickets for that evening.
Shari also informs us that PTC members are already busy with plans for the annual Jog-A-Thon which will offer some new contests for the 4th-8th graders this year.
You may mark March 5th on your calendars for the start of the Spring See’s Candy Fundraiser. All proceeds from the event will fund field trips for our students.
The First Annual Tri-Tip Dinner will be held on Saturday, March 3rd at the Valley Home School Gym on Pioneer Ave. Take-outs will be available from 5-6 p.m. Dinner will be from 6-8:30 p.m. and is priced at $15.00 for adults with children ages 6-10 priced at $7.00. Cody Bartholomew and his friend Colby displayed their science project on paper airplanes this past week at the Science Night at Van Allen School in Escalon. Cody and Colby did such an awesome job on their project they were invited to enter their work at the County Science Fair. Great job boys!
