We offer a special thank you to St Johns/St Lukes church for the yummy treats they passed out to the Valley Home students this past Friday. A huge thank you also to our firefighters who came out specially to be here to pass out treats to the costumed parade goers! As they passed by the big red shiny fire engine, oohs and aahs, along with happy laughter could be heard coming from the students! Firefighters Josh and Dan made the day more special by commenting frequently on costumes that were very creative and full of imagination. No Valley Home parade would be complete without the ever generous, thoughtful “Mr. Tom” (Cassinetto) handing out treats to all. The parade was topped off with special treats from Susan at the General Store. Our heartfelt thanks to Susan who has for many, many years treated our Valley Home youngsters to delightful treats from the General Store. A very special memory for many youngsters over the years! Much appreciation to all our school staff, parents, family members, and our community for supporting our students and making this a wonderful day for all!

We are so blessed to live in a community where folks just pitch in to get the job done ... The community park lawn badly needed to be mowed and with no one available to mow it, the Hoover family brought their mower and weed eater to the park and got busy. When they were done it looked absolutely beautiful! Twice last month this wonderful family spent hours working together to make the little park look lovely again! Tim Hoover is the pastor at Valley Home Baptist Church. We are so thankful to have this special family part of our community.
