It is time once again for our annual Valley Home Community National Night Out Celebration! I hope you will all come out for this very special evening. National Night Out is an amazing evening inviting folks to come outside, meet and visit, neighbors, friends and family. It is a very important way to say “Thank You” and celebrate each of our first responders. Our first responders and Stanislaus County public officials will be here to visit with us this coming Tuesday night, August 1. Our Valley Home National Night Out will be held at our Valley Home community park from 6pm to 7:30 pm. It is an evening especially to show our respect, admiration and appreciation to those who put their lives on the line each and every day for all of us. This important evening is celebrated across the entire nation each year on the first Tuesday of August. Please come out and celebrate with us! Please bring your favorite potluck dish to share. If you are too busy and do not have time to make or purchase a dish, no worries, come on out and enjoy. There will be plenty of delicious food for all. Cold drinks, water, plates, plasticware, napkins and condiments will be provided. Please, say hello, meet your first responders and Stanislaus County public officials and let them know they are very much appreciated! During this evening please come by the Valley Home Days table for more information on our “Valley Home Days” to be held at our firehouse on Saturday, August 26. Tri tip/hot dog dinner, car show and Valley Home history information. This new event is an exciting tribute to our way of life and especially the way of life and the history of those who came before us! This coming Tuesday evening you will also have the opportunity to sign up to purchase your dinner ticket for the August event and/or to sign up your vehicle for the Valley Home Days car show. This exciting fundraiser, with proceeds to support the Valley Home Community Park, is set for August 26. All are welcome to bring your classic or special vehicle to this very exciting show. Please sign up with me, Winnie, as soon as possible so that we will know how much room we will need to accommodate vehicles. We are excited to be working on the first Valley Home Days history booklet, which will be distributed to our Valley Home School teachers to be used the week before August 26 as a short lesson for our Valley Home students about the beautiful Valley Home community that we are blessed to live in. The booklet will feature information that has been researched and will share a way of life about the people that came before us. We are so excited to share this with our students and others. If you or anyone you know might like to share history or other information, please come by the Valley Home Days table at our National Night Out Celebration.
As the months go by, we will add more exciting events to future Valley Home Days and we will also add more information to the history booklet. Please share any ideas you may have!
All dinners for Valley Home Days must be ordered and paid for before August 17. There will also be a flyer going out when school starts next week with the order form for the tri-tip and hot dog dinner on August 26. All money raised goes to our Valley Home Community Park. This money is used for taxes, park insurance, maintenance and PG&E. Thank you to all who continue to support our Valley Home Community Park, it truly is the heart of our community.
Remember the Valley Home Days car show is free to enter and free to enjoy. We hope you will all come out and once again support our Valley Home Park!
