It’s here ... this Saturday our community will work together to raise funds to support our beautiful little community park! Special thanks to those who have donated items for the sale or are going to make monetary donations the day of the sale. Your generosity, and your calls and emails ensure our little park will always be well cared for! Please note, we will be at the park after 2:00 p.m. on Friday to start setting everything up! If you need help getting your items to the park on Friday please call me, Winnie at 209-985-5233. There will be folks staying overnight at the park on Friday night, just to make sure everything is treated kindly overnight. Remember there will be delicious tri-tip sandwiches for sale during the yard sale. I am looking forward to supporting our park and treating myself to a tasty tri-tip sandwich and frosty cold drink! On Monday August 3rd, TV Channel 31 and reporter Cambi Brown visited our Valley Home Park to promote Saturday’s yard sale. Our thanks to Cambi and Channel 31!

We have a wonderful report from Mom Cindy Fleischer on son Cody’s progress. July 4th marked three months to the day that Cody was horribly hurt in a jeep rollover accident. A special thank you for all your prayers. After much uncertainty, and tons of therapy along with Cody’s hard work, and his sheer determination ... Cody stood and asked his mom to dance, while celebrating July 4th high in the Sierra Mountains. It was mostly a dance in one place, but for this very special mom it is a moment in time she will never forget! The Fleischer family owns the Dardanelle Resort and as the band Remedy played ... beautiful music floated across the high Sierra Mountains. Cody knew exactly how to let “Mom Cindy” know how very much he appreciated her loving care during a very difficult time. Tears fell and an unforgettable memory was made between mother and son! Cody, we are all so proud of you, you are much loved in Valley Home!
