Living in the Valley Home/Oakdale/Escalon area, we have so many wonderful events! Our families can attend concerts in the park, fireworks, parades, the Chocolate Festival, Harvest Festivals, the rodeo and rodeo parade, and so many other celebrations! This year we are blessed with a new exciting event this coming weekend! The foursome of Cher Bairos, Amy Velasco, Lupe Aguilera, and Lisa Lucero Ballard have crafted a vision and inspired a non-profit known as the Oakdale Enrichment Society. Their efforts will be evident this coming Saturday, June 29th! The Inaugural Fourth of July Celebration will begin with a parade at 6 p.m. The parade begins at Oak and Poplar and ends at Dorada Park. The fun will continue with music, food, and fun at Dorada Park from 7pm until 10pm. All are welcome, come and enjoy the spirit of the Fourth of July Celebration!

During this summer’s Stanislaus County Fair our Valley Home citizens will be able to visit a new patriotic exhibit! The fair will honor our military from today’s War on Terror group back to World War II. The exhibit will include those who have died while serving. This amazing exhibit will be a very special way for each of us to say thank you to all in our military! The fair opens for 10 days on July 12th.
