Our Valley Home School and our Community has been blessed with many amazing tributes to our beloved Bonnie! Bonnie’s husband, Bruce Gellerman would like to send a message of his deep appreciation to all who have made these beautiful tributes possible. Our Valley Home School gym/multipurpose room now has a very special name “Bonnie Gellerman Multipurpose Room”! It is truly the most amazing feeling when you are anywhere near this beautiful sign. Our 2021 eighth grade class has worked for months to create a very special and very personal legacy to their beloved Bonnie! The eighth graders have created “ Bonnie’s Closet”, which will carry on Bonnie’s love of caring for those in need. Bonnie made sure anyone, especially her students had the things they needed ... she always did so in a very private way. Each new school year the eighth grade class will carry on this heartfelt legacy, “Bonnie’s Closet”! Our Valley Home 2021 eighth grade class has created an amazing legacy that will forever perpetuate Bonnie’s life of helping others. Bonnie, you are always in our hearts!

Last week I was very honored to attend a true Rodeo Legends Celebration of Life … Bill Martinelli passed away on May 2, 2020 surrounded by his devoted family. Due to COVID his Celebration of Life was held this past week at the Oakdale Rodeo Grounds. Arriving at the rodeo grounds I immediately noticed the entire parking area was completely packed. Wow! What an amazing tribute to this great man! Inside, while listening to Dan and Gina Iverson sing the most heartwarming version of “God Must Be A Cowboy At Heart” my thoughts drifted to this amazing man and the very special woman, his beautiful wife Kay, who filled Bill’s life with a lifetime of love. Rest in Heavenly Peace ... Kay’s beloved Rodeo Cowboy!

At last week’s MAC meeting we had very good attendance. We would like to thank our Fire Department; Battalion Chief Ryan Winton, our Sheriff’s Department; Captain Anthony Bejaran and Deputy Cody Cheary, our CHP; Officer Tom Olsen and Officer Eric Moore, our Stanislaus County District 1 Supervisor Buck Condit, our Stanislaus County Public Works; Road Supervisor Randy Avants, and our Stanislaus County Community Manager Erica Inacio. We appreciate the information they shared and the questions and concerns they answered!
