For those of you who may have missed our dear friend Laura Burghardt’s service, it was a beautiful service, with many paying tribute to this amazing woman! Laura’s dear friend and fellow artist Mrs. Carol Earle said a sweet goodbye to Laura by placing a special, personal paint brush with Laura.

It was a service filled with love and the most special memories of this beautiful Valley Home woman ... we will miss you, dear Laura!

We end this week’s column with a sad goodbye to our beloved friend, Vickie “Granny” Reininger. Vickie was the loving mother to former Valley Home resident Kathy Bryhni. Vickie and Frank moved several years ago to Gore, Oklahoma. Kathy’s mom and dad would enjoy a beautiful, peaceful and happy life in Oklahoma. They would spend much of their time fishing and enjoying beautiful sunrises and amazing sunsets together on the banks of their nearby lake! A few years later Kathy and Eric would join her parents in Oklahoma. Vickie and Frank were thrilled to have them nearby. Fishing at the lake right near their homes was a favorite pastime for all. After Vickie’s precious husband Frank passed, their grandson Garret, also a former Valley Home resident, moved to Oklahoma. Garret and his Granny Vickie were very close, the best of buddies ... their favorite fishing spot was never far away! Vickie is also the beloved “Granny” to Sierra Bryhni, Kyle Reininger, Brook Gaither, Kayla Reininger and “Great Granny” to Reid Gaither. Vickie is survived by her daughter Kathy Bryhni and her son Kevin Reininger, both of Gore, Oklahoma, along with many loving friends and family members. Rest in Heavenly Peace our dear friend!
