Valley Home residents need to be on the lookout for vandals who have invaded our community. A report was received last week after the VH News had been submitted that our Valley Home School campus had been heavily gang tagged with the tags on the multipurpose room, portable, main building and playground equipment. Anyone seeing any gang colors or gang activity should call 911. We are told that there is also a gang hotline that can be reached. Residents should make it an effort to attend the August 18th meeting of the Valley Home MAC. Sheriff Adam Christianson will be in attendance and will answer any questions you may have concerning gang problems. Valley Home MAC meetings are held in the Valley Home School library located on the old school campus. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. Be there, do not miss this meeting.

There have also been several reports from residents residing in the Pioneer Avenue and Pleasant Valley Road area of cars and trucks speeding on both roadways and ignoring the four way stop signs. The road is still in daily use by slow moving trucks pulling horse trailers visiting the former horse hospital, currently a breeding facility. Obviously, a tragedy could occur in that area whether it is with a vehicle pulling a horse carrier or now that school has opened up for the Fall semester, it could be our school bus ferrying our students to and from school. Please help put a stop to this vehicle speeding and failing to stop at stop signs. When this is seen, write down the date and time plus the type, year and color of the vehicle. Either report the event to the sheriff’s office or bring the information to the next MAC meeting. If we all work hard at this, we can stop it!
