Wow! Spring is upon us! It may not completely seem like it, but yes it is officially Spring. The calendar tells us that Spring was official on March 20th. I can’t wait to get in the garden!

Remember our Valley Home 4-H Community Easter Egg Hunt is this coming Sunday, March 25th, at our Valley Home Community Park! It will start at 9 a.m. This is always a rain or shine event. 4-Her Callie Chrisman is this year’s chair person. Thank you Callie!

This evening March 21st is our Valley Home MAC meeting. A great place to voice your concerns, share ideas, and get answers to your questions. It will be at Valley Home School and will start at 6 p.m. All are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Congratulations to Miss Callie Chrisman on her gold medal speech “Amelia Earhart, Born to Fly!” Callie is in the Valley Home 4-H speech project, and would like to say thank you to her wonderful dedicated project leader, Mrs. Diane Hoagland. Callie, Valley Home is so proud of you!

We send congratulations to Miss Sierra Haynes! Sierra has officially accepted her admission offer from Cal State Fresno. Sierra we are so proud of you, Valley Home will miss you, but Fresno State will gain a tremendous scholar!

Remember to come out and support your Valley Home Hawks this Friday March 23rd. The basketball teams will be playing Roberts Ferry at Valley Home! Go Hawks!

Spring break is coming. It will begin on March 30th, school will resume on Monday April 9th!

We are ending this week’s column with sad news. We send our heartfelt sympathy to Dariene Airola and her family on the passing of her brother Joe. Our deepest sympathy to this special Valley Home family.
