Exciting news; our Valley Home community sends congratulations to new Mom and Dad, Nikki and Cody Fleischer! Nikki and Cody are the proud parents of precious little Jolene Louise Fleischer, born on December 2, 2021. Jolene was born at 11:47 pm and was 7 pounds 4 ounces. She was 19 3/4 inches long. The new Mom and Dad have introduced sweet little Jolene to her excited family. Proud Grandparents are Chuck and Cindy Fleischer, and Rick and Michelle Dutra. Jolene is greatly loved by each of her grandparents. Both of her grandpas are already asking when can she get on a tractor! Jolene is a special blessing to her great grandparents Jerry and Edwina Benedix. Jolene Louise Fleischer, you are a very special gift from God. Merry Christmas and welcome to the world baby Jolene!

Our Valley Home community will come together this Saturday evening, December 18 at 6 pm, to celebrate Christmas in Valley Home! Our 2021 Valley Home Lighted Christmas Parade will be led by newly arrived baby Jolene Fleischer’s great grandpa, Grand Marshal Jerry Benedix! There are no signups ... just bring your safe lighted parade entry and be in line before 6 pm. We will go around the block three times, then to the park for the community tree lighting. Immediately after the tree lighting we will hear the Christmas story, Nativity, sing Silent Night and Frosty the Snowman, then enjoy “Bonnie’s Cookie Exchange” (bring a dozen to share, homemade or purchased, and take home a dozen) in remembrance of our sweet Bonnie at Christmastime and her love of sharing. Cookies to be shared can be dropped off to Tena or Jenna Heaton, 12501 Valley Home Road, any time between now and the parade or brought to the Valley Home Park Pavilion before the start of the parade. There will be plenty of extra cookies for everyone to munch on during the evening. Hot Christmas cocoa and a visit from Santa will top off the night! The parade usually takes about 15 minutes, with the activities following being another 15 minutes so usually about 30 minutes total; folks can linger or head back home to get warm and cozy! This is a very special night; it’s wonderful to be able to celebrate together once again. May God bless us all; Merry Christmas friends and family!
