This Saturday, we are all invited to come out and enjoy the beautiful lighted Oakdale Christmas Parade. The parade begins at 5:00 p.m. at Oak and Poplar and goes down E street turns left at corner of E Street and Second Avenue. Bundle up, come out and enjoy. The parade goes on rain or shine! We send a very special ‘Thank You’ to the Oakdale Enrichment Society for making this exciting event happen! We appreciate you very much.

Our Valley Home community has a new tradition. This Thanksgiving the Caudle family organized the first Turkey Trot through Valley Home. Joined by the Beltrami family, they have started a wonderful fun new tradition for all of us to look forward to. Tammie and Ron Smith enjoyed being part of this first ever event. A very special thank you to Emmet and Audie for bringing this fun tradition to our community!

Our Valley Home 4-H President, Callie Chrisman would like to remind everyone of the upcoming meeting on December 10th. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Chrisman barn. The 4-Hers will be planning their annual Community Christmas Potluck Dinner. Details in next week’s column. Also in next week’s column, we will announce our Valley Home Christmas Parade Grand Marshal and date/time for our lighted Christmas Parade!
