We have just received a message from Lisa Jones, president of Valley Home School PTC. She would like to thank everyone for their continued support, hard work and dedication for Valley Home School’s fundraisers. She states with everyone’s help the PTC has been able to provide students, teachers and staff with the essentials that our school budget lacks. With that in mind, Valley Home PTA members are approaching a great event next month that will be a “ton of fun” and we hope that you plan to join us at our 2nd Annual Bunko Night. Bunko is a dice game that is quick and fairly easy to play and we invite you, your family and friends to partake in this fundraiser!

The event will be held in our Valley Home School Gym/MPR Room on Friday, March 12th, with dinner starting at 6 p.m. and the game beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are priced at $20 and you can purchase yours by E-mailing us back, calling Lisa @840-3178, Cindy @840-1365 or Shelly @ 484-2547 and we will deliver them to you. Seating for the event is limited, so get in touch with your friends and family and let us know how many tickets you are in need of as soon as possible.

We also have some spaces left for advertising your business on our place mats. The group also offered this opportunity at the group’s Pancake Breakfast, and businesses were very happy with their results. The business card ad is priced at $25 and we plan to have 200 people in attendance, a very reasonable way to get your business out there for new customers!

The PTA donation committee has worked hard to collect great items for prizes for this event, and we could still use some more. Anyone who may have something they would like to donate for the event please let PTA members know or if you would like to donate money, the group will put it towards a Grocery or Gas gift card for our top winning prizes. PTA members have spoken to several persons who have items to donate for the event, when the items are ready for pick-up, please call Lisa or Valarie @ 968-5413. For the donated items received already, thank you so much for your donation, we appreciate all of them!

Jordan McCain and Jenna Heaton traveled to Paso Robles over Presidents Day Weekend for Cal Poly’s Western Bonanza Livestock show. Jordan did very well with his market hogs and Jenna did well with her meat goats, earning Overall Supreme Champion honors. This was a very prestigious show and many great showmen are present. Congratulations to both young people on their awards!
