Remember to mark your calendars for Saturday, October 26th! We will be celebrating our rural way of life in Valley Home, our Valley Home School Harvest Festival will be held from 6:00pm to 9:00pm! Surrounded by cornstalks, hay bales, and pumpkins, the fun starts when you walk in the gate! Delicious dinner foods will be served all evening including tasty barbecued tri tip sandwiches, seasoned polish sandwiches, foot long hot dogs, cheesy nachos, chili cups, and much more! Come out and have dinner, our Valley Home School greatly appreciates your support!

Prizes will be given for best costume! The parade of costumes will start at 7:00pm. Dress up and join the parade as they parade past the judges and throughout the Harvest Festival! The Pie Eating Contest will be held at 6:30pm and the Milk Drinking Contest will take place at 6:45pm. The Pumpkin Decorating Contest and the Carved Pumpkin Contest (must be brought from home), the Biggest Pumpkin and the Scarecrow Contest will run from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. All contest winners will be announced at 8:00pm.

We will be excited to see our Stanislaus County Sheriff Helicopter and K-9 Officer visit Valley Home early during the evening! We look forward to the excitement of having our Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol with us during the evening. We may even have a special visit from Oakdale Police Department.

Once again our Silent Auction will be spotlighted during the evening. Please, if you would like to donate, call Valley Home School at 209-847-0117 and leave a message for Betty Sphar. Your donation would be greatly appreciated and all proceeds go to Valley Home School! Once again this year we will be offering a limited amount of Mrs. Mattos’ much sought after Portuguese Sweet Bread! We will also have the delicious divine Barretto sugar cookies available in our Harvest Sweet Shop! This year we will have cool refreshing drinks available in the Sweet Shop also. Treats and sweets will be offered all evening along with frosty cold pumpkin ice cream, candied apples, sno cones, popcorn, and cotton candy. Please join us in Valley Home on October 26th!
