OHS Drama Presents Disney’s Aladdin Jr.

Disney’s Aladdin Jr. will be performed at Oakdale High School on Friday, Oct. 8 and Saturday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 10 at 2 p.m.

The show will also be presented a second weekend on Friday, Oct. 15 and Saturday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m.

This spectacular musical is based on the 1992 Disney film and the 2014 Broadway adaptation. The OHS production includes 55 cast members and 15 technical students led by Directors Bryan Mills, Cindy Toste, and Emily Thomas.

The play will be presented outside under a 30 x 80 foot open-air tent on campus with full sound, lights, sets, props, and costumes. No masks will be required in this unique and first time outdoor setting.

Ring bells! Bang the drums! You are going to love this exciting stage adaptation of the legendary tale of the lovable thief with the heart of gold! Join Aladdin, Jasmine, and the fast-talking, wisecracking Genie as they discover mystical caves, take magic carpet rides, and outwit the evil sorcerer, Jafar. Adapted especially for young performers, this musical includes favorite songs such as “Friend Like Me,” “A Whole New World,” and “Prince Ali,” as well as wonderful new songs added for the Broadway production. With new, colorful characters and nonstop adventure, Aladdin Jr. is sure to be a crowd-pleaser for all ages.

To purchase tickets, visit the Oakdale High School Business Office from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tickets are $10. Seating is limited to 250 per show, so advanced purchase is encouraged. Tickets will only be available at the door in the event that show is not sold out.
