Members of the Oakdale High School Aca Dec team continued to make history on Saturday, Feb. 5 as they regained the title of champions at the 42nd Annual Stanislaus County Academic Decathlon.

In addition to being named the overall winner, the competing team captured the title of Super Quiz winner as well. Individual medals were scooped up by both competing team members, as well as team alternates.

Individual results for the February competition are as follows.

 

Essay top scores were: Joseph Yakligian, Honors Fifth Place; Johanna Fabian, Varsity Gold; Landon Arnold, Alternate Silver and Kailey Flores, Alternate Bronze.

 

Category of Speech top scores were: Cesar Garcia Santana, Honors Bronze; Micah Kakuno, Honors Fifth Place; Bleu Ancheta, Scholastic Silver; Johanna Fabian, Varsity Gold and Bailey Hardman, Varsity Silver.

 

Johanna Fabian earned Varsity Bronze in the Interview Category.

 

Mathematics top scores were: Cesar Garcia Santana, Honors Gold; Joseph Yakligian, Honors Silver; Bleu Ancheta, Scholastic Gold; Mateo Zepeda, Scholastic Bronze; Carter Franca, Scholastic Fourth Place; Johanna Fabian, Varsity Silver; Bailey Hardman, Varsity Fifth Place; Daniella Guido, Alternate Fifth Place and Ildee Briton, Alternate Fifth Place.
