Oakdale-Riverbank Fire Calls 12-21-22

The following is a listing of some of the local calls for service involving the Modesto Fire Department, which staffs Stations 27, 28, 29 and 30 in Oakdale, Knights Ferry and Valley Home; and the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Department, covering the Riverbank area.

Calls were logged during the time period of Tuesday, Dec. 13 through Monday, Dec. 19. Days not listed had no reports of significant incidents in this area.

 

MONDAY, DEC. 19

Battalion 5 crews completed weekly apparatus/equipment maintenance.

Battalion 5 companies participated in explorer and engine company training.

 

SUNDAY, DEC. 18

MST units trained with MPD on active shooter scenarios.

Battalion 5 companies participated in battalion drills at fire station 17.

Crews continued to complete annual training requirements for 2022.

 

SATURDAY, DEC. 17

All district fire extinguishers were serviced.

Engine 26 performed rope training at Jacob Myers Park.

1:03 p.m. – No address listed; E26 and BC2 responded to the report of a subject not breathing. On arrival bystander CPR was being performed. E26 took over BLS care, when the ambulance arrived, the child was carried to the ambulance where ALS treatment and transport to MMC occurred with Fire in attendance.

 

FRIDAY, DEC. 16

MST units conducted equipment checks and station maintenance.

MST units participated in a Christmas parade.

 

THURSDAY, DEC. 15

MST units assisted academy with live fire burns at Station 17.

MST units conducted equipment checks and station maintenance.

MST units conducted auto extrication training in Oakdale.

 

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 14

Crews assisted with facilitating the mock engineer’s test.

 

TUESDAY, DEC. 13

MFD crews rotated through Station 12 for apparatus sign offs.

Crews trained with the probationary firefighters for their upcoming test.

After more than 20 years serving the citizens of Stanislaus County, Captain Jeremy Smith has decided to leave and pursue opportunities out of state.

Station 27 worked on Christmas tour staffing.

Crews responded to numerous calls for service.
