Oakdale-Riverbank Fire Calls 11-3-21

The following is a listing of some of the local calls for service involving the Modesto Fire Department, which staffs Stations 27 and 28 in Oakdale; and the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Department, covering the Riverbank area.

Calls were logged during the time period of Tuesday, Oct. 26 through Monday, Nov. 1. Days not listed had no reports of significant incidents in this area.

 

MONDAY, NOV. 1

11:06 a.m. – Modesto Fire Department responded with Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District to a vehicle accident on Langworth Road. Two occupants were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries. CHP is investigating.

 

SUNDAY, OCT. 31

10:33 a.m. – Crews responded to a single vehicle accident on Orange Blossom Road east of Oakdale. One person was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. CHP is investigating.

 

SATURDAY, OCT. 30

6:04 p.m. – Modesto Engines 28, 29, 27, Battalion 5, Stanislaus Quint 22, CHP, Oak Valley Ambulance and AMR responded to reports of an injury accident on Highway 4 and Dunton. Additional reports advised that a subject was trapped and a vehicle was on fire. Cal Fire and Copperopolis Fire were requested along with two air ambulances. Crews arrived on scene and found the fire had been extinguished by other motorists. A driver was found deceased in one vehicle and crews treated two patients from the second vehicle. CHP is investigating.

 

FRIDAY, OCT. 29

Modesto Engine 3, Engine 27 and Engine 28 assisted the Oakdale High School Fire Science Class with hands-on training/orientation.

Engine 29 participated in the Valley Home Halloween parade

 

THURSDAY, OCT. 28

Crews rotated through Station 22 in Empire for quarterly EMS training.

Modesto Truck 1 gave the Oakdale Irrigation District an overview of the confined space team and capabilities.

 

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 27

Crews rotated through the training division for quarterly EMS training.

 

TUESDAY, OCT. 26

10:57 a.m. – Modesto Engine 28 was dispatched to River Road and Cleveland Avenue near Oakdale for a wire down. Engine 28 arrived on scene to find a vehicle left the roadway, struck a utility pole and ended up in an orchard. The driver of the vehicle denied any injuries. PG&E was notified of the damage to the pole. CHP is investigating.

8:21 p.m. – Modesto Fire Department responded to a vehicle accident on Highway 108 east of Oakdale. One motorcycle was involved. The subject was treated on scene and flown by an air ambulance to an emergency room with moderate injuries. CHP is investigating.
