Oakdale-Riverbank Fire Calls 1-13-21

The following is a listing of some of the local calls for service involving the Modesto Fire Department, which staffs Stations 27 and 28 in Oakdale; and the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Department, covering the Riverbank area.

Calls were logged during the time period of Tuesday, Dec. 29 through Monday, Jan. 4. Days not listed had no reports of significant incidents in this area.

 

MONDAY, JAN. 11

No times listed - Weekly apparatus and equipment checks were conducted.

Battalion Chief 1 and Battalion Chief 5 attended a command staff meeting at Fire Admin.

 

SUNDAY, JAN. 10

10:13 a.m. – Engine 28 and Battalion 5 responded to a cardiac arrest reported in Oakdale. E28 found an Oakdale Police Department officer performing CPR on the patient. Crews took over patient care for a considerable amount of time as the ambulance was responding from DMC in Modesto in foggy conditions. Crews performed CPR for over an hour with no change in patient status. Base contact was made and resuscitation efforts were stopped.

 

SATURDAY, JAN. 9

No time or address listed – Engine 27 assisted a resident with removing a cat from a tree in Oakdale.

5:40 p.m. – Engine 28, Engine/Water Tender 27, Engine 29 and Battalion Chief 5 responded to a potential structure fire in the 19000 block of Milton Road. Engine 28 arrived to find nothing showing and began to investigate. Engine 28 isolated the issue to a pellet stove inside the residence. The balance of the response was canceled.

 

FRIDAY, JAN. 8

12:30 a.m. – Modesto, Ceres, and Stanislaus Consolidated fire units responded to a residential structure fire in the vicinity of Leo Avenue and Herndon Road. Crews worked in the offensive mode to contain an outside fire that spread to an attic in a single story residence. One occupant was displaced. No injuries reported, the FIU is investigating cause and origin.

 

THURSDAY, JAN. 7

2:02 a.m. – Engines 26, 9, and Battalion 5 responded to a vehicle accident on McGee Road involving a vehicle reported to be on its roof. Engine 26 arrived to find a solo vehicle in the middle of the roadway on its roof. No occupants were located; all fire units cleared.

 

TUESDAY, JAN. 5

4:16 p.m. – Modesto and Stanislaus units responded to a potential structure fire in the 3000 block of Burney Court in Riverbank. Crews arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a travel trailer. The fire was quickly contained. No injuries reported. FIU at the scene investigating.
