Lots of fun and entertainment will once again be had, as Oakdale Enrichment Society hosts Oakdale’s All American Bash Concert on Saturday, June 25.

This year the non-profit has recruited five bands to play. Those bands include: Left of Centre, Crossman Connection, Shania Twain Tribute, Luke Bryan Tribute and Kenny Chesney Tribute.

As with the concerts for the 2021 150th Oakdale Birthday Celebration, the musical event will be hosted at the Oakdale Saddle Club Rodeo Grounds on East F Street. The event will begin at 5 p.m. and gates will open at 4:30 p.m.

Tickets are $25 per person in advance and $35 at the door if not sold out.

“We had a little money left over and wanted to bring something to our community for Fourth of July and honor our community,” Oakdale Mayor and OES Vice President Cher Bairos said of the event.

“We will always do it the Saturday prior (to July 4), the last Saturday of June,” she continued. “So as not to compete with fireworks booths and other July 4th events.”

Yet as everyone knows Bairos and the OES crew, Lisa Ballard, President/Secretary and Lupe Aguilera, Treasurer, love a parade. So the day will begin with a parade celebration along F Street.

Line-up will begin at 9 a.m. at Oak Avenue and West F Street and the parade will begin at 10 a.m. Volunteers are still needed for the parade route and entries are also welcome.

In addition to the morning parade and concert performers, the evening will end with a fireworks show.

“We are going to have a really awesome fireworks show,” Bairos said.

A total of five food trucks will be on hand at the rodeo grounds offering food and H-B Saloon will handle the bar. Outside containers and ice chests will not be permitted.

“It’s about bringing people together with what we’ve been through and having something for our community that everybody can afford,” Bairos said of the day and evening events. “It’s a fair price for what we have going on there. I mean five bands; it’s going to be a heck of a show.”
