Women’s Club Closes Out Year With Meeting
Lunch
Bacon makes everything better. Toss some on a sandwich for more flavor.

Tuesday, Dec. 4 will be the last Meeting/Luncheon of the year for the Oakdale Women’s Club (OWC) … and it promises be a tasty one. In addition to the always great meal prepared by the kitchen staff of the Oakdale Golf and Country Club, members and their guests will be entertained with a musical program appropriate for the holiday season.

As for the previously stated ‘tasty’ event, it’s an Oakdale Women’s Club Fundraiser: a sale of delicious baked goods created in the kitchens of its members. Given that the club is a non-profit organization, funds from this sale will continue to benefit many of the local community groups that it gives to every year. Also on the meeting’s agenda, and to help Santa with his job, his OWC Elves will be providing local boys and girls with gift-filled Christmas stockings that they can dive into on Christmas morning.

Meeting time is at noon on Dec. 4 and the cost of the luncheon is $16 per person, with the club gathering for the lunch and program at the Oakdale Golf and Country Club, 243 N. Stearns Road, Oakdale. All interested are encouraged to attend and bring as many guests as you can. Along with enjoying the food, you will also be helping this worthy end-of-the-year cause.
