Curious what catering, food, and beverage businesses in Oakdale have to offer? Check out the local Taste of Oakdale at the end of August to sample the wide variety of offerings in the area. This year marks the 10th anniversary celebration of the event, hosted by the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce.

Interested attendees can buy tickets ahead of time for only $25, and they will be available for $35 at the door on the day of the event. The Taste of Oakdale is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 28.

To premiere any local business, vendors can fill out applications online. Interested patrons can also help sponsor the event, with a number of different sponsorship levels available. Contact the Oakdale Chamber, 209-847-2244, for more information.

Included in the event is food tasting, wine tasting, beer tasting, cooking demos, and more, with an opportunity to also purchase some of the items featured in the tastings.

Last year, the Oakdale Golf and Country Club walked off with multiple awards, winning best dessert, best food, and best overall. Last Call Brewing Company was awarded best beverage.

Both businesses will be returning to the event, along with Firenze Ristorante, Javi’s, Curves partnering with Jenny Craig, Raley’s, Classic Wines of CA, Delta Sierra Beverage, and more.

The event currently has no limit for vendors, and applications are due by Monday, Aug. 20.

“We started this to promote local businesses and it’s been really well received,” Chamber Chief Executive Officer Mary Guardiola commented. “We’re excited for the event.”

The 10th annual Taste of Oakdale will be hosted at the Bianchi Community Center, 110 S. Second Ave., Oakdale, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 28. More information can be found by contacting the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce or visiting oakdalechamber.com/taste-of-oakdale/.
