Sun, Rain Greet Rodeo Parade Participants, Watchers
PARADE 1

When it stepped off at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8, the annual Oakdale Rodeo Parade played out under sunny skies and a cool breeze. By the time it had wound its way the length of F Street from the city’s west end to the Foothill Oaks Shopping Center on the east end, skies had clouded over and raindrops started to fall.

But whether it’s sun, rain, wind – or unseasonably hot weather for early April – the parade packs them in three deep on the sidewalks, people jockeying for position to see the floats, here the music and look for their favorite parade entry.

Rain fell a little harder later in the day and made for some sloppy conditions for rodeo participants at the Oakdale Saddle Club rodeo grounds, but most of the parade enjoyed good weather.
