Heat was hardly a deterrent as close to 500 people filled Dorada Park for the annual Concerts in the Park kickoff show on Friday, July 13. It was no surprise to Oakdale Chamber Chief Executive Officer Mary Guardiola, who shared performers Alex Lucero and Live Again usually command a large turnout. According to Guardiola, two nights of the eight-week Friday evening series will feature new bands to the Oakdale community. The free Concerts in the Park will continue each Friday at 6:30 p.m. through Aug. 31 with California Outlaws taking the stage on July 20.
