Was it Colonel Mustard in the study with a lead pipe? Miss Scarlet in the billiard room with the rope? Mr. Green in the hall with the revolver? Or was it Wadsworth the butler?

Oakdale High School Drama Club under the direction of drama director Bryan Mills will present the comedy ‘Clue’ on Friday, March 3 and Saturday, March 4 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, March 5 at 2 p.m. at the OHS Theater. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased at the door or at the OHS Business office.

In this spoof of McCarthy-era paranoia and 1950s wholesomeness, the characters and plot are drawn from the popular Parker Brothers board game of the same name. “On a dark and stormy night” in 1954, six individuals with ties to Washington are assembled for a dinner party at the swanky mansion of one Mr. Boddy (Jacob Galvez).

Boddy’s butler, Wadsworth (Devon Doss), assigns each guest a colorful name: Mr. Green (Jacob Holdaway), Col. Mustard (Donald Hodges), Mrs. Peacock (Annalise VanderVeen), Professor Plum (Brandon Layton), Miss Scarlet (Brianne Cordano), and Mrs. White (Anne Holmer). Two additional servants, the Cook (Chloe Norris) and the maid (Katie Schwandt), assist Wadsworth as he informs the guests that they have been gathered to meet the man who has been blackmailing them: Mr. Boddy.

When Boddy turns up dead, however, the guests must try to figure out who killed him so they can protect their own reputations and keep the body count from growing. Meet all the notorious suspects and try to unravel the mystery.

The comedy will have laughs piling up amidst the dastardly doings of the cast.
