Oakdale Rescue Mission Celebrates Home Anniversary
Oakdale Rescue Mission

Oakdale Rescue Mission (ORM) opened its home in August 2018, after 10 years as a street ministry helping the homeless and the community. Bear – a huge stuffed animal on site – also finally found a home during the recent Family Support Network giveaway day at the ORM home. Through this event, products and items given to ORM that they did not need were given to local families.

Nearly 5000 meals have been provided to those in need during this past year at the West G Street location. The ORM Home has made available nearly 400 showers and laundry days to the homeless who work for that credit. Churches and individuals in the Oakdale community have provided revenue, socks, back packs, sleeping bags, love and encouragement. ORM leaders say they are grateful for the continued support.

All in the community are welcome to come celebrate ORMs Home first anniversary; join in for a barbecue lunch at 131 W. G St., Oakdale, on Saturday, Sept. 7 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
