Water Polo goalie Curtis Lineberger, an Oakdale resident, played on both the 55 to 60 team and the 60 to 65 water polo teams in the Master’s National Championship in Irvine this past weekend. Playing a total of eight games over two days, Lineberger and his team pulled out a Gold Medal in the 60 plus bracket, winning all four games. Lineberger is also bringing home a Silver Medal in the 55 plus bracket, with three games won and one loss. 

“We played very well,” said Lineberger. “There was some really tough competition.”

With teams competing from California, St. Louis, and New Mexico the tournament was filled with tenacious athletes, all striving for the win and the ultimate Gold Medal honor.
