Injury Accident On Yosemite
Oakdale police

An early morning head on traffic collision on Friday morning resulted in traffic lanes being closed for a short time on Yosemite Avenue near the bridge at the Stanislaus River at the north edge of Oakdale.

At about 7:10 a.m., officers responded to several 9-1-1 calls reporting a two vehicle traffic collision in the 700 block of North Yosemite. When officers arrived on scene several Good Samaritans were attempting to put out a vehicle fire and rendered aid to those involved subsequent to the collision. Fire and medical personnel responded for the driver of an involved Chevrolet truck who was pinned in the vehicle. Both drivers were transported to local area hospital for unknown injuries.

Oakdale Police said this investigation is in the early stages and witness statements as well as physical evidence is being thoroughly evaluated before any collision factor or cause will be determined.

Names of those involved were not released by police.
