Holiday Cards For Heroes
Placeholder Image

Oakdale High School Leadership students started a new event at OHS for the holidays. Students and staff who are interested are making cards, which will be mailed to men and woman in the U.S. Armed Services as part of the American Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes program.

The cards will be collected at OHS on Friday, Nov. 22 and mailed to the Red Cross on Dec. 1 to meet the early December deadline. The Red Cross collects the cards and distributes them at military installations, veterans hospitals, and in other locations around the world. The OHS Leadership goal is to collect about 400 to 500 cards.
