Just a couple more weeks remain for the city’s Farmers’ Market, offered each Wednesday night in the downtown area.
Fresh fruits and vegetables, musical entertainment, tasty treats, the chance to adopt animals in need of a home, and a number of local vendors are on hand for the weekly festivities.
Tonight, Aug. 20 and next Wednesday, Aug. 27, are the final two days for the market, which runs from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at E Street and North Third Avenue.
Organizers have been pleased with both the weather – with relatively mild summer temperatures throughout – and the crowds coming to the downtown market each week.
Also continuing for the next couple of weeks, the Friday night Concerts in the Park series, offered through the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce and multiple business sponsors. Due up for the Aug. 22 show is the Highway 99 Party Band and rounding out the summer series on Aug. 29 will be Fine Line.
Concerts are staged at the pavilion in the city’s Dorada Park, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
