The Oakdale Farmers Market will open for the season on Wednesday, May 8, running from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on North Third Avenue, between E and F streets.

Organizers are looking forward to another successful year, with the market projected to run each Wednesday night through September in the downtown area.

Locally grown fresh produce will be the main staple, as well as entertainment, some crafts vendors, special family-themed activities and many of the businesses in the area staying open late to accommodate shoppers.

Produce offerings will vary as the weeks move on, depending on what is in season, but attendees can expect to see everything from fresh strawberries to flowers, and squashes to peaches throughout the market’s run.
