Set aside some time this evening, Sept. 14, and join in with The Good Time Accordion Club, having its second Wednesday of the month musical and social gathering at the Escalon Community Center, 1055 Escalon Ave. Admission is $5 at the door; meetings are at 7 p.m. and the rest of the club’s meetings for 2016 are scheduled on Wednesdays, Oct. 12; Nov. l9 and Dec. 14. Seventh Day Adventist Church, at the corner of Oak Street and Walnut Avenue in Oakdale, will be the site for a giant yard sale fundraiser on Friday, Sept. 16. Hours for the event are 8 a.m. to noon and proceeds will benefit the Oakdale Rescue Mission. Donations of gently used books, household goods, games, small appliances, etc. are being accepted. Please, no clothing or Christmas items. Drop off items at St. Matthias or the Seventh Day Adventist church.

Riverbank welcomes the REO Speechtrain Toastmasters Club for regular meetings every Wednesday morning, 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m., at Perko’s Cafe, Patterson and Oakdale roads, Riverbank.
