The Oakdale Library hosted a special ‘shrinky dink’ craft event for kids on Friday, June 15 with the idea behind it to make a take-home craft for Father’s Day. Here, young Cooper Thalman, 2, smiles for the camera as library staffer Pam Moore unveils the colorful shrinky dink piece that has just come out of the toaster oven. Also, eight-year-old Olivia Robinson works on coloring a unicorn to send to the oven. Several youngsters enjoyed creating handmade cards and crafting unique shrinky dinks, from a pizza slice to a baseball, as special mementoes for dad.
