Community Halloween Celebrations Enjoyed
EDWARD

Halloween brought with it plenty of ghosts, goblins, super heroes and special events.

The Tuesday, Oct. 31 observance of Halloween saw the traditional downtown parade and hot dog feed put on by the City of Oakdale in cooperation with the Oakdale Kiwanis Club and other sponsors while, in the community there were some special events as well.

Just to name a couple, on Rio Sombra Court, the Ballard family pulled out all the stops for their second annual ‘Merry Halloween’ where they combine Christmas decorations and a Halloween theme, complete with Santa Claus there to hand out treats.

Astoria Senior Living hosted its first Trunk or Treat event a day before the holiday, Oct. 30, with Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District, Oakdale Police Department, ResCare, Community Hospice, Optimal Hospice, along with family and staff making the special event a real treat for all the guests and residents.
