Community Celebration Welcomes Halloween
parade 2
Led by a self-proclaimed Washed up Aquaman (aka OJUSD Music Director Ross McGinnis), the Oakdale High Band was present to close out the annual parade, as well as provided music as participants made their way to Gene Bianchi Community Center for the festival portion of the evening. The path from the Gilbert Avenue youth center down G Street to the Bianchi Community Center at G and South Second was filled with a parade of costumed cuties, golden oldies, dogs and assorted villains and heroes on Saturday.

It was all part of Oakdale’s annual Community Halloween event, co-hosted by the city and the Oakdale Kiwanis Club.

Along with the parade, those attending could enjoy a free hot dog dinner, a variety of games, prizes and candy in the Oakdale Town Plaza, before heading out for an evening of trick or treating on the town.
