Coat Distribution Days

The Oak Valley Hospital District Family Support Network is hosting its fourth annual Coats & Cookies Event on Wednesday, Dec. 7 and Thursday, Dec. 8. Hours for the event are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days and it will be hosted at the Family Support Network facility, 1405 W. F St., Oakdale. If you are in need of a warm coat, the Family Support Network will be providing gently used coats for children and adults during this annual event. Refreshments will be served and there will be chances to win fun prizes, so come early for the best coat selection. Enjoy cookies, beverages, raffles and more. Library Activities

Thursday, Dec. 8, will be Children’s Craft Day at the Oakdale Library. Paint and decorate a wood ornament for hanging or display. There will be several designs to choose from and these would be great for giving as well. This creative project begins at 3:30 p.m. Teen/Adult Craft for ages 13 and up, will be “Gift Tag Making.” Be sure your presents get to the right people in the best way possible. Use cardstock, stamps, ribbon, and more to personalize these tags in your own unique style. Join in on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 3:30 p.m. for this imaginative craft. The library will also present its first Evening Story Time and Sing-a-Long on Thursday, Dec. 15, at 6 p.m. Connection Luncheon

 

Garden Field Trip

Oakdale Garden Club will host a field trip to Duarte Nursery and Sciabaca’s Olive Oil Company on Thursday, Dec. 8. Departure for the event will be from the Oakdale City Parking lot at South Yosemite and G Street at 9:15 a.m. A no-host luncheon will be held at the Fruit Yard Restaurant. Connection Luncheon

Oakdale Women’s Connection will host its monthly luncheon on Thursday, Dec. 8 at Papapolloni Mediterranean Bistro from noon to 1:45 p.m. Buffet lunch cost is $18. Reservations are requested. This month’s event will host fiddler Brian Cogburn and Karen Yeatts as guest speaker. For reservations and additional information call Angelina at 402-5105.

 

Holiday Singalong

All are welcome to join in for the 18th Annual Christmas Singalong at Hutton’s Hamlet on Monday, Dec. 19 at 6 p.m. Sing your favorite carols and Christmas songs with Annette Hutton accompanying on piano. Free admission, refreshments served. The event will be hosted at Hutton’s Hamlet Performing Arts Center, 132 W. Senior Fundraiser

The Stanislaus Senior Foundation will host its Annual Holiday Fundraiser on Friday, Dec. 9. The event will be hosted at McHenry Museum from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will include hors d’oeuvres, wine and a silent auction. Lee In Concert

Award winning singer and speaker, LouAnn Lee will be featured in an appearance on Friday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. at Celebration Center Oakdale, located at 522 E. F St.

Lee is an international recording artist. Passion for the local church fuels the writing of her songs. Her songs have charted consistently on CRW. She has won awards with GMA, and also been featured in Worship Leader Magazine numerous times.
