Another Closed Session is scheduled to be part of the regular meeting of the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District board meeting this week.

The session is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. at the Station 26 meeting room, 3318 Topeka St., Riverbank.

The Closed Session has a Public Employee Appointment action scheduled, with the title ‘Acting Fire Chief’ listed on the agenda.

The district reportedly relieved Fire Chief Rick Weigele of his duties; the closed session apparently seeks to re-fill that position with an acting chief. If action is taken, the board will report that action once coming out of the closed session.

In other business at the meeting, in open session, the board is scheduled to review staff reports including Deputy Chief/Operations reports, as well as training and prevention reports.

Discussion is also due on the Station 24 construction update.

The next regular meeting of the board is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 14 at 6 p.m.
