Law enforcement continues to overwhelmingly support the reelection of U.S. Representative Jeff Denham to the 10th Congressional District. The latest law enforcement endorsement came Monday as U.S. Representative Jeff Denham announced receiving the support of the entire California State Sheriffs Association including local 10th District Sheriffs Adam Christianson (Stanislaus) and Steve Moore (San Joaquin).
“I’m extremely humbled by the amount of support I have received toward my reelection,” said Rep. Denham. “California has suffered a recent spike in crime rates and there are more dangerous laws on the ballot this November that will increase crime statewide and affect our rural communities disproportionally. I will continue to work with all of my local law enforcement groups to ensure that they have the tools they need to keep our local communities safe.”
The California State Sheriffs Association is comprised of Sheriffs from each of California’s 58 counties. The organization was formed in 1894 for the purpose of giving California’s sheriffs a single collective voice on matters of public safety.
Public safety is one of the top issues in the campaign for the 10th Congressional District and Denham has received support from many local public safety agencies.
Just in the last couple of weeks Denham has been endorsed by the Modesto Police Officers Association, the Stanislaus Sheriff Deputies, Stockton Police Officers' Association, the Modesto Firefighters Association and the Tracy Firefighters Association.
