The main thoroughfare of F Street, as well as side streets will once again be all abuzz as over 5,000 Oakdale Joint Unified students return to their varying school sites next Thursday, Aug. 10.

As teachers return to their classrooms to prepare for the arrival of incoming students, the Oakdale Junior High and Oakdale High School campuses will be equally busy with students this week.

Oakdale Junior High will host Round-Up events today, Wednesday, Aug. 2. Seventh graders will report between the hours of 8 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. (time varies by last name). Oakdale High School will host its Round-Up events on Thursday, Aug. 3 and Friday, Aug. 4. For additional information contact the individual campuses or visit www.ojusd.org.

Bell schedules for each of the individual campuses around town may also be accessed on-line. Parents and families are encouraged to allow extra travel time the first couple of weeks to ensure smoother drop-offs for the students at each campus. Those driving students to school are also reminded that yellow painted areas are for drop-off only and are not to be used for parking to escort a child into school. This is a violation which may be enforced by ticketing through the Oakdale Police Department.
