At the meeting of the History and Museum Associates last Tuesday it was reported that the Knights Ferry School students would have their pumpkin art on display for the Pumpkin Roll on November 2nd. Thanks to Bob Muller for fixing the Post Office boxes that were pried open and mail stolen. Junk mail was picked up scattered along Orange Blossom Road and Sonora Road, thrown out by the thieves. The suspect’s vehicle was a light colored 4-door sedan with two occupants. The store captured it on video but the license plate could not be seen. Sherron McCarthy would like a display of old Pumpkin Roll trophies for November 2nd. Contact her at the Post Office.

Michael and Maureen McKibban have returned from a one-week bus trip to five National Parks. Friends from Modesto joined them. They saw the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley where they enjoyed a jeep ride to a Bar-B-Que by the Navajo Indians, Arches National Park, Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. They learned about the Indian weavings, food, and way of life. The hotels were nice and they had a lovely time.

The Dolling’s pond has quite a gaggle of geese these days. They come and go and sure are noisy.
